The project was tailored for consulting and mentorship to interested NGOs, including, but not limited to Pankisi Community Links grantees, based on their needs. The project pointed out what key capacities already exist within each participating NGO and identified what additional capacities should be developed to enable Pankisi NGOs to achieve their goals.
The project activities were the following: 1. Rapid organizational capacity assessment of selected NGOs using a proposed capacity assessment tool or other approach (to be explained in the offeror’s proposal); 2. Financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and financial analysis; 3. Strategic business planning; 4. Communications support (e.g. advocacy, public outreach, etc.); 5. Report and proposal development/writing;
GCSD provided training sessions to the representatives of the NGOs based and operating in Pankisi Gorge. 5 training sessions were delivered to participants from 5 organizations.
Trainings covered the following topics: organizational management and project writing, budgeting. Fundraising, advocacy and communications.
